Roads
The permit for any kind of filming on the island’s roads is given by the Servicio De Seguridad Vial (DGT) Dirección General de Tráfico. (Traffic Department.)

To carry out professional or commercial film, television, video and photographic activities on the coasts and beaches of Lanzarote and La Graciosa, you have to request authorization from the Las Palmas Department of Coasts (Demarcación de Costas deLas Palmas)

Protected nature reserves
To carry out professional and commercial film, television, video and photographic activities in nature reserves a permit must be applied for from Área de Medio Ambiente e (Landscape and Environment Area), at least 1 month prior to the beginning of filming.
An application must be completed together with a photocopy of DNI (National Identity Document), passport, residence permit or fiscal number of the promoter and a plan of the work to be carried out.

To film in public areas in Lanzarote a permit has to be obtained from the corresponding Town Council. The Lanzarote Film Commission can provide you with the right contacts from the seven Town Councils in the island. To be able to do this, the attached application should be completed and sent to Lanzarote Film Commission.

Timanfaya National Park
To carry out professional and commercial film, television, video and photographic activities in the Timanfaya National Park authorisation must first be obtained from the park authorities.
